Someone threw an antique grenade at a Phloenchit Road office building this morning, according to authorities.
A grenade identified by police as an old-school fragmentation grenade from World War II was was discovered in front of Tonson Tower on Ploenchit Road. It didn’t explode, and authorities have safely removed it.
A security guard at the building reveals he heard the sound of a hard object hit the ground this morning. He rushed in front of the building, saw a bomb on the ground, and immediately called the police.
The hand grenade was activated but failed to work.
The police will review security camera footage to find those responsible, MThai reported.
