More than 800 boxers from 60 countries are expected at a festival to pay homage to the masters of Muay Thai in the ancient capital of Ayutthaya on Sunday.
The World Wai Kru Muay Thai Ceremony will stage the sacred ritual dedicated to the best fighters from Muay Thai history at Wat Mahatat in Ayutthaya Historical Park from March 15 – 20. The ceremony will be joined by Thai boxing stars.
Visitors can also enjoy as showcase Muay Thai and other Thai martial art performances, local food and a trade fair.
