To celebrate this year’s World Cup, Phyathai Hospital in Chonburi province is dressing all newborns in football team uniforms, and the parents are reportedly loving it. (And who are we kidding? We do, too.)

The hospital, located in Sri Racha, said it will keep the World Cup theme going until July 15, noting that the football jerseys they use have been sanitized and are made from fabrics safe for babies.

One photo posted to the hospital’s Facebook page yesterday shows happy mother and her German national team-baby.

Hopefully, no die-hard soccer parents take the wrong baby home.

Dressing up newborns in festive outfits isn’t exactly new for the Thai medical scene. Last year, a Bangkok hospital released a photo set of traditional Songkran babies. Before that, a Phuket hospital put Thai newborns (who will probably become Buddhists later in life) in Santa outfits.
