After retaining his WBC super flyweight world title on Saturday, Thai boxer Srisaket Sor Rungvisai has vowed to give his championship belt to the future mother-in-law back home in Isaan.

Patchareewan Kanha, who has been dating Srisaket for 14 years, said that Srisaket had proposed to her before he went off to Los Angeles, where he won over Roman Gonzalez from Nicaragua, according to Morning News.

Patchareewan said Srisaket had fulfilled his promise to knock out Gonzalez with his powerful right hook, and he called her after the match to say that he would give his winning belt as a birthday gift to her mother, whose special day was on Sunday.

Srisaket knocked Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez down twice in the final round, finishing the challenger off with a right hook with 1:45 to go in the fourth.
