Thailand’s national women’s football team secured victory at the AFF Women’s Championship in their final match last night against Myanmar in Vietnam.
Karnjana Sang-ngern, Nisa Romyen and Rattikan Thongsombut each scored one point to seize the cup for Thailand after beating Myanmar 3-2.
Karnjana opened the game strong, putting Thailand in the lead in the 36th minute before Khin Moe Wai scored for Myanmar in the 53rd.
Nisa then scored for Thailand with a looping header following by Rattikan, making it 3-1 before Win Thieng Tun made up another score for Myanmar. Thailand ended up one point up for a 3-2 win.
This is Thailand’s second cup since winning in 2011, Bangkok Post reported.
