A beauty clinic employee was shot inside a downtown shopping mall near Bangkok’s Victory Monument on Tuesday afternoon after a gunman opened fire inside a shop.
Police are looking for the shooter who left the woman dead inside the Icon Clinic on the fourth floor of Century the Movie Plaza shopping mall at about 3:45pm, according to Phaya Thai district police. Another person shot at the scene was rushed to the hospital.
Emergency responders were seen tending to at least one shooting victim in images posted online. Police found seven .45-caliber rounds at the scene.
The fourth floor of the shopping mall was closed following the incident.
Police believe that the shooter was motivated by jealousy.
