Woman cut in half by train in Dusit

A pedestrian was torn in two when she was run over by a train this morning at the Yommaraj intersection in the capital’s Dusit district.

A woman, assumed to be in her 50s, was dragged by the running train for over 10 meters and cut in half before the train could stop at around 7:30am this morning, according to Ruamkatanyu rescue volunteers.

The accident caused the train to block Pitsanulok road, worsening the morning traffic.

The police assume the deceased lived in the area and are working on identifying her, Morning News reported.
