Hundreds answered the call within a few hours today after American actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt asked people to share photos of Thailand.

“I’m looking for cool photos of Thailand for a new project called ‘Thailand: Passport Poems,’” the star of 2009’s 500 Days of Summer and 2010’s Inception wrote online.

The post had been reshared 800 times as of publication time, with hundreds ignoring the provided link to share photos of temples, island beaches, cityscapes and sunsets in nearly 400 comments on his Facebook post.

It was the latest pitch from 39-year-old Gorden-Levitt, who’s put out calls this year for people to  submit Malay, Tagalog and recordings in other languages saying “poetry” as well as photos from various nations for HitRecord, a collaborative media platform he founded that produces short films, books, and DVDs. There were 336 submissions from Thailand so far.

There will be no compensation for the contributions. Still, anyone interested can drop their best shot at HitRecord.
