‘White mask’ protestors suspend activities while they figure out their ideology

“V for Thailand” protestors in Bangkok

Earlier this week, the “white-mask” movement announced a temporary suspension of its political activities in Bangkok in order to review its role and direction. The group posted their announcement on their official Facebook page, “V for Thailand,” last Tuesday.

According to the statement, the group will renew its activities “once everyone is ready to adopt [their] ideology.”

We assume they mean everyone within the group itself? If they’re waiting for the public at large, that could be a lengthy interval.

The Nation reports that the group’s stated goal is to “overthrow dictatorship and corruption,” both of which it associates with the Yingluck government.
