When hell freezes over: Booze commercial makes the impossible happen in Bangkok

Is it a warning about climate change or a new disaster movie? Or just an old Johnnie Walker TV commercial?

Either way, if you’re interested in seeing Democracy Monument covered in snow, this commercial released two years ago is worth re-visiting for its footage of a snowy Bangkok.

The commercial stars 30-year-old Weera Sae-ung, the founder of Digital Magic Effect House who claims “impossible is not in his dictionary” and has been portrayed as a poser/ graphic-design magic man by the producers.

Weera seems to want the festive Christmas atmosphere in Bangkok, so he created an illustration of what it would be like if Ratchadamnoen Avenue was covered in thick snow.

Although snowball fights are quite fun, we’re glad that it’s not snowing in Bangkok; otherwise, it would be a tough season for people to camp out on the streets, protesting for something.
