In remembrance of Theresa Ann Moriarty, the Moriarty family will use the Rooftop Gallery to host “A Light In Time” exhibition to display the beautiful artworks she left behind.
Theresa Ann Moriarty, 1986-2010, was an American-Thai artist, photographer and the first runner up of Miss Thailand World. Her artworks such as photographs, paintings, poems and song will be on display.
“I felt afraid to follow my passion for life for fear of the ostracism that she suffered. It wasn’t until I started going through her journals, her photos, her poetry, and her artwork that I began to see her as my genie hidden in the lamp. I alone, possessing all her works, needed to free this genie for her friends; her loved ones, and others. So in light of her courage, I wanted to create a space where other people could also delight in what she left behind for us,” said Gabriela Moriarty, Theresa’s sister.
The opening reception runs from 6pm to 10pm on Mar. 7. Otherwise, visitors are welcome to join the closing event from 6pm to 10pm on Mar. 31.
