A video of a Thai football player picking up, dragging and then dropping an injured opponent during a game has ignited a wave of criticism on social media.
In the video, BEC Tero Sasana player Messi J looses the ball and his balance after what appears to be a light tackle from by Bangkok Glass player Leesaw. After the ref calls a foul and awards BEC Tero a free kick, an obviously frustrated and angry Leesaw grabs Messi J, hoists him up, drags his limp body a few feet and then dumps him on the pitch.
The incident has quickly made Leesaw a household name and the butt of many jokes. One notable ribbing comes from Leesaw’s altered Wikipedia page.
