Ten Thai tourists were saved from a flash flood in Phetchabun province yesterday after a dramatic two-hour rescue.
Upon being saved, the tourists all said the same thing: “It’s like we’ve been given another life.”
The flash flood ran down from a mountain in Petchabhun’s Thapol district, engulfing the ten tourists who were visiting Wang Hin Hor Waterfall, DailyNews reported.
As the water rose rapidly, rescue officers saved the ten tourists by securing a rope line and helping them out to solid ground.
One exhausted female tourist was almost sucked away by the powerful water, but was saved by the iron grip of one of the rescuers as seen at the 0:40 mark below.
The operation lasted two hours and all ten tourists were safely rescued.
Big ups to the brave Petchabhun rescue squad!
