A very timely discussion of press freedom at FCCT on Wednesday

Tomorrow isn’t just listen-to-jazz day, it’s also a day for promoting a free press.

As journalists in Thailand face jail for doing their jobs, a special panel discussion of the state of media freedoms will be held at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand.

Organized by the FCCT and UNESCO, the discussion starts at 7pm with Kavi Chongkittavorn of Nation Media Group, Anothai Udomsilp from Thai PBS and Gayathry Venkiteswaran from the Southeast Asian Press Alliance.

The event includes the exhibition of 16 winning posters young artists from the Asia-Pacific World Press Freedom Day poster competition.
