A German tourist was furious that a restaurant on Pattaya’s Walking Street served him a bad lobster, so he put his leftovers in a doggy bag and took them to the police.
Wolfgang Hoelderich, 70, filed a complaint with the local police at 11pm last night. Through a translator, Hoelderich said he realized his lobster has gone rotten after he had already eaten part of it. The tourist asked the restaurant for a new lobster, but they refused because he had already eaten it.
Hoelderich paid THB1,848 for the lobster that he couldn’t eat before heading to the police station.
The officer who handled the case agreed that the lobster had gone bad, so he sent Hoelderich’s complaint to the Health Department for further inspection, Sanook reported.
