Two technical colleges close after student killed

Bangkok College of Industrial Technology and Technology Bangkapi College will remain closed throughout the next week in an effort to cool violence that has erupted between students from the two institutions.

On Monday, a student from Technology Bangkapi College was shot dead in front of Bangkok College of Industrial Technology, an incident that threatened to plunge the two schools into violent conflict.

In an interview with the Bangkok Post, the chief of the Office of the Private Education Commission (Opec) said that the schools should cooperate with police officers in their investigation of the incidents.
