Two new locations for expat workers’ 90-day check-ins

It will indeed be a Happy New Year for Bangkok’s expat workers.

Government Complex on Chaeng Wattana Road won’t be the only place to visit every 90 days to remind the Thai government that you do indeed still live here, according to an announcement by the Bureau of Immigration.

Beginning Jan. 2, all foreign residents will have two new places to file their notifications:

Not far from the Ratchadapisek MRT station, the Immigration Service Center is on the fifth floor of Imperial World Ladprao on Lat Phrao Road. Those residing east of the mighty Chao Phraya can visit the Immigration Service Centerl on the first floor of Major Hollywood Suksawat on Suksawat Road in the Rat Burana district. Both offices will be open from 10:30am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Closed on holidays.

Of course many people mail in their 90-day notifications. The announcement does not indicate any changes to that policy, so those should probably continue being mailed in the usual manner to the Immigration Bureau offices at the Government Complex.
