Two men arrested for rectal drug smuggling

Two men were arrested on Monday at a petrol station on Ratchadapisek Road for concealing and smuggling 4,000 pills of methamphetamine, or “yaba,” in their rectums.

Authorities made the arrest after receiving a tip that illegal drugs were being smuggled from abroad into Bangkok via the fuel outlet.

Nathanon Yoolee, 24, and an unnamed 18-year-old man were apprehended by police and confessed that they were paid THB50,000  to smuggle the illicit substances. They were charged for illegal drug possession and were later taken into custody by the Phahon Yothin police for further questioning.

The drugs were carefully wrapped in five small balls and concealed inside their rectal cavities, the Bangkok Post reported.
