Two protest guards were taken to the hospital with bullet wounds early this morning after about an hour of gunfire was heard at the Lumpini protest site.
At 3am of today, the Ruamkatanyu Foundation rescued the two guards who were admitted to nearby Chulalongkorn Hospital.
According to the street vendors who witnessed the incident, the gunshots started at around 1:50am and continued for over an hour. About 30 protest guards took the street vendors to a safe place behind the barriers and searched for the attackers.
The protest guards decided to block about 200 meters of Silom Road from Soi Thaniya up to Sala Daeng intersection.
As of this morning they have prevented anyone from entering the area, even the authorities. No investigation has been pursued, Daily News reported.
