Following a tip-off, police in Chiang Mai busted a man traveling with two roosters—both had unusually swollen necks after they were made to swallow condoms filled with a thousand of methamphetamine tablets.
On Wednesday, police in Fang district stopped a man with the two roosters right before he got in a songtaew (local minivan) heading into the city’s bus terminal. Noticing their swollen necks, the officer made an incision near their wattles and discovered four condoms filled with drugs on one rooster and three condoms in the other.
Police said the two roosters had been stuffed with a total of 1,383 pills.
Chanwut Tueksongkhram, 29, the owner of the fighting birds, confessed he was making a delivery of drugs to a client in Chaiyaphum province, reported Sanook.
Police are still investigating the case and suspect there are more people involved in this fowl delivery.
