Two members of a gym in Ratburana died of smoke inhalation after the pub below the club caught fire yesterday morning at 9:30am.
Wutthichai Tumchart, 34, and Kiartisak Saenjittham, 34, were the victims, according to The Nation.
The fire started at Tawan Daeng Sard Saeng Duean restaurant (formerly Ozone pub), located on the first floor of a two-story building on Ratburana’s Suksawad Road. The gym, PG Fitness Healthy and Relax Club, is above the pub on the second floor.
The pub is currently under construction and was not open for business.
The two victims were not the only people in the gym at the time. There were five people inside when the blaze happened. Four were taken to Bang Pakok 1 Hospital while one went to Bang Pakok 3 Hospital.
Local firefighters got the fire under control in about an hour.
