Truck kills woman crossing Asok Montri Road

A 28-year-old newlywed was killed crossing the street in the Asok area yesterday.

Karnjapas Siriprathum had stepped into the pedestrian crossing to cross Asok Montri Road after the signal changed when a truck ran the red light and hit her.

Karnjapas was dragged down the road for several meters before the truck came to a stop. She worked at a subsidiary of GMM Grammy, which is located at the site of the accident, according to Bangkok Post.

Police arrested the truck driver and may charge him with reckless driving resulting in death.
