Animal exploitation or dolphins being bros? Children were wowed this weekend by scenes of trained dolphins leaping and flipping to the tunes of a Thai pop band jamming at Bangkok’s Safari World.
Two days after the band Paper Planes played a Children’s Day gig at the animal attraction for which three dolphins performed synchronized backflips as the duo ended the song’s hook, most of the responses to video of the performance were positive.
There were a reported 6,000 or so attendees at the show, where the band and audience screamed along meters from the animals, which are known for their supersensitive hearing and reliance on echolocation.
