In a case that sounds remarkably similar to the scam pulled by the notorious ‘penis massage’ bandits, yet another Indian tourist is claiming he was robbed after a massage in Pattaya.
The 47-year old man reported the theft after he noticed USD3,000 missing from his wallet.
The man told police he was walking along Pattaya Second Road, opposite the Montien Hotel in Central Pattaya in the early hours of Wednesday morning, when a woman stopped on a motorbike and asked him if he wanted to go with her for a massage.
A fee was agreed upon and paid to the woman who took the gentleman on the back of her bike to the apartment. He was unable to describe the location of the room but did reveal that he undressed and was then given the massage and then left for his Hotel. When he arrived back to his Hotel Room and checked his wallet he realized that his money was gone. Pieces of scrap paper were there instead.
Police suspect the money was taken by someone who was hiding under the bed waiting for the hapless chappy to remove his trousers.
Is this the work of a copycat penis massage gang? Coconuts can only speculate.
Police are now searching for those responsible, Pattaya One reports.
