As millions will travel to their hometowns to spend time with family over Songkran, officials will waive tollway fees for two motorways during the festival.
The exemption will last from April 9 – 17 and will cover Route 7, which connects Bangkok to Chonburi, and Route 9, or the outer ring road.
The cabinet hopes the fee exemption will help speed up travel time for citizens during the season of road trips, Thai PBS reported.
