The cabinet today announced the temporary lifting of toll fees for two motorway routes during the New Year’s holiday.

From Dec. 28 to Jan. 4, commuters using Motorway Route 9 (Bang Pa-in to Bang Phli) and Motorway Route 7 (Bangkok – Chonburi) will be exempted from fees, as a move to help improve traffic flow during the break.

Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said that 4.6 million cars are predicted to be on the roads during the holiday, an increase of 0.5 percent from last year, Post Today reported.
