The Chao Phraya Express Boat Company Ltd. has announced plans to raise its fares by THB2 this July.
The company’s managing director says that an official document has been filed to the Director-General of the Marine Department stating the need to raise the fare as soon as the 90-day price-pegging period is over.
The director stated that if the fare was not raised, the company would suffer a loss of THB16 million this year. The company will also propose a program of improvement in its service, which will include increasing the frequency of trips and expanding service hours.
