Tiger mauls temple parishioner

A visitor to Wat Or Noi in Kampaengsaen District was severely injured on his arm and hand after a tiger attack.

Police found bloodstains on one of the three cages and said the tigers inside were visibly irritated. It was not immediately clear how and why the man was attacked, Khaosod English reported.

Five tigers live at the monastery, which has been sheltering the animals since 2003. The temple’s abbot said the tigers were legally acquired and the monastary would foot the bill for the injured man′s medical expenses.
