Three Chinese men in a gang of four were shot when they attempted to rob a gun store near Chinatown this morning.
According to police, the four men armed with BB guns and knives attempted to rob gun shop “Interarms Limited Partnership” on Charoen Krung road around 10am today, when the owner and employees shot at them in defence.
Three of the men were shot while the other one escaped before police arrived. He was later tracked down and arrested, Khaosod English reported.
The owner and his employee were reportedly stabbed by the robbers. All five injured people were sent to nearby hospitals.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Sanit Mahathaworn identified the four suspects as Chinese nationals. Police are yet to determine whether the motive for their attack was to steal valuables or whether they had another hidden agenda, Sanook reported.
