Three transwomen fined for showing ‘post-op’ privates to Chinese tourists

Three transwomen, featured in a viral video in which they allowed Chinese tourists to look at their private parts in a hotel room, were fined and forced to publicly apologize in Pattaya yesterday.

The trio, identified as Kanisorn Toonjit, Noppadol Jorwan, and Samtip Naimoo, who are reportedly in their 30s, claimed the footage in question — which first started circulating widely last week — was actually from 2013, when they were contacted to strip down for curious tourists who wanted to see their “post-op” physiques.

The censored screenshots from the video show the tourists groping the trio … and even spreading their legs apart. Yikes.

And five-year-old footage or no, Thai authorities are never big fans of publicity that plays up the country’s well-known reputation for sex shows.

The trio told police they had been “traveling” to the Walking Street in Pattaya that night when they were approached by a tour guide — also a transwoman — and asked to strip naked at a Chinese party for THB4,000 each (US$130), according to Sanook.

While they were promised that there would be no filming, the three claimed they were bombarded by a dozen tourists with cameras and didn’t know how to refuse.

In the end, they received another CNY500 (about THB2,500 or US$80) for their troubles.

As is the style here, the three were forced to publicly perform an apologetic wai, saying that they didn’t mean to ruin the image of Thai tourism. *ahem*

They were charged with obscenity and fined THB5,000 (US$150) — ironically, almost as much as they were paid that night.
