Three alleged gang members had 568,000 Yaba pills that may belong to Col Yi Se

Three alleged members of the famed drug trafficking gang Oros were arrested today at Bang Khun Thian with over 2,000 methamphetamine pills on them.

The arrested members were identified as Piya Busamrong, 25, Nampol Sukchuang, 29, and Panunee Puengbamrung, 28. They were caught after narcotic police got a tip-off that a large cache of drugs was to be delivered to a major dealer in the Bang Khun Thian area.

Police officers in plainclothes waited in the area and made the arrest when the three alleged Oros members came to the meeting point, reported Thai PBS.

A subsequent search of the homes of the arrested alleged gang members produced more pills.

After their arrest, the alleged gang members confessed that the drugs belong to Col Yi Se, a notorious Myanmar drug kingpin on Thailand’s Most Wanted List.

According to Bureau Commissioner Pol. Lt. Gen. Rewat Klinkesorn, the Oros gang’s drug activity is closely associated with Col Yi Se.
