THB700,000 reward for suspected Victory Monument bomber

The Royal Thai police are seeking Kritsada Chaikhae, the man they believe responsible for at attack on the Victory Monument protest site last month.

A THB700,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the 43-year-old suspect’s arrest.

Kritsada faces murder charges, as police said his group is also suspected of being behind the Jan. 17 bombing in Banthat Thong, according to police spokesman Maj. Gen. Piya Uthayo.

To demonstrate they’re seriously pursuing investigations of the slew of attacks to hit the Thai capital in recent weeks, police provided several other updates on the 63-related incidents they are said to be investigationg.

An arrest warrant has been issued for an unidentified suspect in the Jan. 26 clash where protest leader Suthin Taratin was shot to death.

 

Investigative teams are also pursuing the first incident of violence which occurred at Rajamangala University in November, attacks relating to candidate registration at Din Daeng in December, and last week’s bombings in Bangkok and Trat, which killed four children. A fourth team is investigating other cases including the gunfire exchange at Lak Si, and the Valentine’s Day violence at the Phan Fah bridge, The Nation reported.
