A 25-second clip doing the rounds on Thai social media shows a foreign man collecting trash on the beach in what appears to be Pattaya.
Uploaded to popular Thai video page YouLike, the clip has been viewed 228,000 times since it was shared on Friday.
Captioned “Farang picking up trash at the beach,” the popular video got mostly positive comments from Thai views who appreciated the man cleaning up the beach and thought that he must be a good person. One user also guessed that the man’s house must be very clean. Many Thai commenters also noted that they felt ashamed or embarrassed that a foreigner was cleaning the messy beach.
Foreign commenters added that if everyone picked up just one bucket of trash from the beaches, they would be spotless. Good point.
