Thailand’s spa industry featured at World Spa & Wellbeing Convention

The current World Spa & Wellbeing Convention 2013 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani is showcasing Thailand’s spa service industry.

Earlier in the convention, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Warathep Rattanakorn pointed to the fact that each year millions of visitors come to Thailand for massage and spa therapies, making the spa industry key to the country’s tourism.

Not only do people come for spa services, many of them also come to learn about the traditional Thai massage, and the industry has created millions of jobs in Thailand, especially for women.

Organizes have created a zone called “Education Village,” where visitors can learn about spa treatments and health food cooking, and 20 outstanding spa entrepreneurs will be presented with Thailand Spa & Wellbeing Awards, reported NNT.
