Thailand’s Ministry of Science and Technology to standardize traditional Thai recipes

In the future, when served with an inadequate curry, you will have recourse to a scientifically certified complaint as to its lack of deliciousness.

The Ministry of Science and Technology, along with the National Innovation Agency (NIA), is working out a series of standardized recipes for traditional Thai dishes, including kaeng lueng and ayam golek.

The Ministry will work to standardize tom yam goong, massamun curry and pad Thai as well.

The Bangkok Post reports that in order to carry out this task, the agencies have formed an investigative body with the adorable moniker of “the Thai Delicious Center.”

Figuring out standardized recipes is apparently arduous work, as these Thai food standards won’t be made available until year’s end.
