Six men and one woman who returned from Pakistan on May 7 have been infected with the coronavirus, health officials today.

They tested positive while isolated at a government-provided facility, according to COVID-19 task force spokesman Taweesilp Wissanuyothin.

The seven new cases were marked by no new fatalities for the sixth day in a row.

This brings the total number to 3,025 infections and 56 deaths since the outbreak began in Thailand in January.

Taweeslip said that the top three countries where Thais have returned infected from are Indonisia, Pakistan and England; therefore, those who travel from those nations or have contact with returnees should be mindful.

Later today, health officials are expected to announce the next phase of reopenings two weeks after public parks, restaurants and barber shops were allowed to resume business
