While Thailand’s attention is focused on female beauty pageants, Mister Thailand has just won the country the first prize in this low-key international male modeling contest.
Narapat Sakunsong, a 26-year-old university student, won the title of Mister Model International 2016. The pageant was held last night in India, where Narapat defeated beautiful men from 33 countries.
Aside from taking home the grand prize, Narapat also won three other titles including “Best Model Asia Pacific,” “Elegant,” and simply “Talented.”
The runner-ups are the contestants from Spain, Senegal, Germany and the U.S.
Narapat is currently a studying airline business management at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and he aspires to be a flight attendant.
Mister Model International is not the first competition that Narapat has conquered. He has competed in over 50 beauty pageants and always won a prize, Sanook reported.
