Thailand has won the dubious honor of being the world leader when it comes to watching VR porn, according to popular adult website Pornhub.
In its very academic insights released last week, Pornhub handed it to Thailand as the country who watches the most virtual reality porn on its website, despite the government’s attempt to ban porn on the internet.
And, apparently Thais have been giving themselves a hand as well.

Another fascinating finding is that all the countries where VR porn is enjoyed most often are in Asia Pacific. Following Thailand is Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Taiwan. But the highest rate of growth in VR popularity has occurred in Ireland and the United Kingdom, with the audience expanding by nearly 250 percent.
The site’s infographics show that VR porn gets a massive 500,000 daily views, and ironically, the site surpassed 900,000 views on Christmas Day last year, a day when people are supposed to spend time with family, think Christian thoughts, feast, and reflect on the gifts of the season.But apparently, many people used the day to spend some “quality time” with themselves as well.
Men are more 160 percent likely to view VR porn videos compared to women, while the most popular age group for viewing the content is 25-34-years-old.
While the U.S. doesn’t rank on the list of countries where VR porn is the most popular, over the last 12 months, its VR viewership has increased in every part of the country. The largest growth in popularity has occurred in the Eastern states including New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and New Jersey.
California still accounts for the most VR video views each day, but the growth rate in popularity has been much slower.
