Tourism Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said on Sunday that the ministry is preparing to hire Bollywood stars to promote tourist attractions in Thailand and draw high-spending tourists from Southern India.

In the next three years, the ministry expects to increase the number of Indian travelers from 1.2 million to 2 million visitors per year, the story added.

Hopefully, once they arrive at Don Mueang via their AirAsia flights, there will be sufficient immigration officers on duty. Saturday morning, foreign travelers had to wait as long as four hours to make it through passport control.
