Yay for animals!

The Chiang Mai Zoo’s beloved panda Lin Hui is reportedly pregnant.

MCOT reported that the bear will give birth around the Chinese New Year period in late January 2014.

In September, another panda named Linping was sent from the Chiang Mai Zoo to Chengdu, China to be artificially inseminated.

Ritthirong Kulprasoot, acting director of the Zoological Park of Thailand announced her pregnancy today and said that she is about 91 days pregnant.

The Chiang Mai Zoo has informed the Chinese Embassy in Thailand of Lin Hui’s pregnancy and will probably be able to manage the birth. Lin Hui is on loan to Thailand from China.
