In a last-minute change to Thailand’s reopening plans, officials added 17 more places Sunday to the list of countries and territories whose travelers can enter the kingdom without quarantine.
Effective today, the official “reopening day” after about 20 months of travel restrictions, fully vaccinated travellers from 63 nations and territories can holiday in or visit Thailand and be exempted from mandated quarantine.
Some of the places added included India, Taiwan, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Kuwait.
The new order was signed by Thani Thongphakdi, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Tourists who are not fully vaccinated are required to quarantine for 10 days.
