ThaiGov activates emergency ban on gathering to ‘incite’

If your weekend plan includes provoking chaos or inciting rebellion, make sure to invite no more than three friends.

Under the powers of the emergency decree, the administration activated a ban yesterday on gatherings of groups of five people or larger attempting to “incite unrest.”

Along with the ban, the order signed by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra also urged the media to be responsible and avoid publishing information which might result in “misunderstanding.”

The ban is in effect in all areas covered by the state of emergency, Bangkok Post reported.
