Moo Yor, also known as Cha Lua or Vietnamese sausage, is a popular homemade good that Thais pick up as souvenirs from Lampang Province, but this woman got some extra protein in her Moo Yor — a giant cockroach.
Lampang woman Manow Papawarin was about to fry the sausage, made by a famous local brand, for breakfast when she found that it was filled with a dirty, disgusting cockroach.
Manow posted the photos of the roach-filled sausage in the Facebook group Lampang City, it has since received a hundred thousand shares.
Aside from the cockroach, Manao said she also found ants in the sausage.
As gross as it is, Manow told Matichon she hasn’t thrown the sausage away as she is waiting for the health officials to come collect it for inspection.
“I want the operator of this Moo Yor to pay attention to hygiene because their products are a souvenir of Lampang. Both Lampang locals and travelers buy their products to prepare food and as gifts,” she said.
