Following the controversy over the Japanese women’s volleyball team’s victory, a malfunctioning tablet and an angry Thai coach, a Thai managing committee member of the International Volleyball Association (FIVB) quit his job.
Charnrit Wongprasert announced his resignation yesterday to express his disapproval of the judges’ decision to penalize Thailand women’s volleyball team with two red cards after Thai coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai asked questions about the malfunctioning tablet that didn’t manage to send their swap request during the game.

The tablet also didn’t work a second time when the Thai team requested a challenge, sparking controversy online.
The red cards, which cost Thailand two points, were given alongside an accusation that the Thai team was trying to delay the match.
“I can’t accept that FIVB said Thailand lost two points because their coach was not disciplined when the judges should have been investigated for their work.”
This means Charnrit has withdrawn his role at the upcoming Olympics, which will be held in Brazil, SMM Sport reported.
“Enough with the FIVB. Pride is worth more than money,” he said.
You’re the man.
