Thai voice of ‘Let It Go’ featured in behind-the-mic video

Let’s face it, if you saw Frozen, then “Let It Go” has been looping in your head ever since, or in extreme cases, your 8-year-old neighbour won’t stop singing it.

A video showing the faces of 25 singers around the world singing it in their own language was released to the internet on Monday, including a well-known Thai vocalist.

Maybe it’s the dramatic lyrics encouraging little girls to express themselves or the epic voice-raising job by the vocalists, but “Let it Go” had the right stuff to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song last month.

The Thai version is sung by 24-year-old Wichayanee “Gam” Piaklin, known as the winner of the fourth season of popular singing competition “The Star.” Gam is considered one of Thailand’s best singers.
