Five Thai students arrested in Pakistan for trying to take a gun onto a flight to Bangkok were freed and returned home this morning, according to the Foreign Ministry.
They were released after being held nearly two weeks after being detained at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore after Pakistani officials found a handgun and ammunition in one of their bags.
They were allowed to board a flight yesterday to return home, while the Thai embassy in Pakistan will continue their legal process.
