A Thai high school student in Virginia, USA was charged last week for allegedly filming videos of classmates in the boys restroom.
Phatsakorn Pongpasit, 20-year-old senior student of Fairfax High School, was accused of using a cellphone to record other students using the stalls at the school’s bathroom, according to Fairfax police.
On June 2, the school conducted an investigation after one student alerted the school administration, but it was reported that more than one student was filmed.
Phatsakorn faces charges of possession of child pornography and unlawful creation of an image of another, The Washington Post reported.
He was held overnight in police custody but was then released. His next court date has not been set.
The school, which allows student up to the age of 22 if they have limited English proficiency, did not comment whether Phatsakorn will be allowed to finished his school year, according to the WJLA.
Meanwhile, Thai netizens on Facebook have condemned Phatsakorn for his action. Gthai movie, the production house known for their gay soap operas, shared the news with a sarcastic caption that Phatsakorn “is a Thai gay who is now famous internationally.”
Last week, media also reported that a Thai woman was arrested at her home in Arlington, Virginia, for buying pricy designer handbags and allegedly returning fake ones in their place.
She has reportedly netted over THB35 million profit by selling the authentic bags online.
