In the latest round of palace personnel changes, His Majesty the King has fired two more palace officials and stripped them of their titles for unspecified misconduct, as well as adultery.
A royal decree published in the Government Gazette last night announced that Ekachai Kookrasang and Makarerk Koosamrarn had been sacked due to acting offensively, displaying inappropriate behavior unbecoming a royal official, as well as committing “adultery.”
No specifics regarding the accusations were detailed; they came one week after the king stripped his recently named consort of all her titles for “disloyalty.”

The statement described the two former lieutenant-colonels as retainers responsible for the royal bedrooms.
It was the third time in two weeks the king has taken disciplinary action.
On Oct. 21, he stripped Sineenat “Koi” Wongvajirapakdi of all titles and ranks, two months after he named the 34-year-old former army nurse the first “royal consort” in nearly a century.
On Thursday, he fired six senior palace officials including a nurse and veterinarian for “evil actions,” according to palace announcements.
Thailand’s royal family is protected by a draconian defamation law that has become broadly interpreted to essentially outlaw perceived scrutiny of the monarchy. Offenses are punishable by 15 years per offense.
That means media reports such as this are routinely self-censored and limited to information released by the palace.
