Thai medical invention wins Swiss plaudits

Participants in a recent, inventor’s exhibition in Switzerland have awarded a special prize to a Thai invention that helps doctors detect strokes.

The 41st International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva awarded the International Federation of Inventors’ prize to Watchara Kaewmahanin, a lecturer at Thailand’s Naresuan University.

Watchara’s invention, according to the Nation, helps doctors effect early detection of ischemic stroke.
