Thai man injured in KL blast

A middle-aged Thai man was among more than a dozen people injured in a grenade attack outside a pub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The unidentified man was reportedly visiting from Chiang Mai when the attack happened in an entertainment area of the city when the grenade went off under a car at about 4:30am this morning. 

The Thai man, about 50 years old, was visiting Malaysia from Chiang Mai province when a hand grenade exploded under a car in the Bukit Bintang shopping district at about 4:30am today, The Nation reported. One person also was killed in the blast.

He was treated and released from a hospital, according to the foreign ministry.

The attack has been blamed on gang violence.
